Before Mamba I was at university. I graduated with a 1st class honors degree in Zoology in 2004. When I graduated I immediately started applying for graduate jobs that suited my degree e.g. Ecologist, Environmental Manager, jobs in conservation abroad. Every single position I applied for told me I was overqualified and did not have enough experience. When I applied for lower positions I was still turned down as I still had a lack of experience. I started to feel that my 4 years at university was a waste of time. For years I’d worked in call centres, bars doing waitressing and did voluntary jobs to gain more experience, but found that the progression and management positions were always very limited.
When I joined Mamba, what caught my attention was " no experience needed - we will train you". Within ten days I was promoted onto the Business Development Programme after showing my eagerness to work hard, learn and to progress even further in the company. I have been inspired by the amount of success that’s been created globally and one of my key highlights after only been with Mamba 4 months was winning a Sales Award at the Scottish Regional Rally held at the Marriot Hotel in Glasgow.
Everyone has the same opportunity to progress within Mamba, the training and support is unique and its great to be part of a company that actually want you to succeed in everything you do by offering ongoing support and training / development.
My confidence has soared and my communication skills sky-rocketed enabling me to build rapport very quickly and easily with not only prospective customers and colleagues from all different backgrounds but with people in general. What always stood out is the enthusiasm and the fun had by everyone involved in the company on a daily basis.
